Nanny / PA, 2 children Westminster (SW1X)
Salary: annualised salary, £2500 per month
Notable Nannies are working with a family in Westminster who are looking for a fun, energetic and creative nanny /PA who can support them with the care of 2 children, aged 9 and 10.
This is a shared care role, working with mum in tandem as part of a team to ensure the best care, interaction and support for the children as well as some general errands to help support the household. The role is essentially before and after school care, alternative weekend care and full time care during the school holidays. The hours work out to an average of 35 hours a week, based on a split day Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday and full days on alternative weekends.
Typically the weekday hours will be 7.00am-8.30am and 3.00pm-8.00pm during the school term. During the school holidays the hours will be 7.30am-7.30pm. The alternative weekend hours will be 7.30am-7.30pm on Saturday and Sunday. There will be some international travel with the family during some of the school holidays for periods of no more than 2 weeks at a time. This is a long term position commencing March 2021 and would suit someone who is looking to feel part of the family.
The nanny will be responsible for attending to all the daily needs of the children, keeping them safe, happy, occupied and being responsible for their wellbeing, emotionally and socially. We would be looking for someone who would work in tandem with you, (as an example, the nanny to look after one child whilst you are looking after the other and vice versa.)
This is not a live in position. A confident driver is essential, there is an automatic vehicle available for the nanny to use for work related travel.
Typically, the nanny will work alongside mum in taking care of all the needs of both children, taking to and collecting from school, planning a variety of age appropriate fun and activities to encourage learning and development in addition to activities which will support their varied interests.
This position would suit someone who is self-motivated, energetic and active, with a firm but fair manner, someone who is able to support and nurture the children with love, kindness and encouragement.
The nanny will need to be organised, be happy to work with mum whilst also using their own initiative when required. A positive, pro-active 'can do' attitude is required with good common sense.
Reliability, consistency and a flexible commitment are essential to fit within your family dynamics.
