A family in Kingston Hill (KT2) are looking for an experienced live-in nanny/housekeeper to join their family as soon as possible. The family have 2 children aged 5 and 3 years. The family need someone to work from 7am-7pm, Wednesday-Sunday (with Mondays and Tuesdays as the days off) and 1-2 evenings babysitting each week.

The family would like to employ someone who is equally happy to take care of the housekeeping, as they are the children, and they would like to see candidates who have a track record of both housekeeping and working as a nanny. The family's 5-year-old girl has Autism and ADHD and they are consequently searching for a professional nanny who is confident and experienced working with children with these needs. All typical nanny duties will apply, and include: 

  • the children's care and development
  • helping to keep their bedrooms and play areas organised and tidy
  • preparing healthy meals and snacks for them
  • taking them on trips and outings locally, and to groups and activities
  • school and nursery drop-offs and pick-ups
  • arts and crafts, and games and activities at home
  • reading with the children and helping with their learning
  • the children's laundry and ironing and full wardrobe management
  • bath and bed time routine
It is important to the family that their nanny is kind, considerate, caring and patient. You should have experience caring for two children simultaneously and multitasking. This family require a confident driver and there is a nanny car available for use on duty. This is a long term role and the family are looking for their nanny/housekeeper to become a part of the family, to support their son and daughter as they continue to grow and learn. The ideal candidate will have a positive, proactive manner and be happy to be a team player working within a staffed household. Teamwork is essential here, to ensure continuity for the children and the entire family: you will be working alongside the family's live-out Monday to Friday nanny, as well as their live-out full-time housekeeper. This is a vitally important role where your skills and experience will be required across all aspects of the daily runnings of the household.

Alongside the daily nanny requirements, this position will suit someone who is highly competent and thorough in their housekeeping abilities.The housekeeping aspect of the role will include:
  • The daily cleaning and maintaining of a clean and tidy household
  • Thorough cleaning of kitchen areas, worktops, cupboards, utility space
  • Dusting and polishing furniture & fixtures
  • Cleaning and sanitising of toilets, showers/bathtubs, countertops, and sinks
  • Vacuuming and cleaning of carpets and rugs
  • Sweeping/vacuuming, polishing, and mopping of hard floors
  • Safely using any cleaning equipment such as vacuums, mops, and other cleaning tools
  • Keeping bathrooms stocked with clean linens, toiletries, and other supplies
  • Cleaning of mirrors and other glass surfaces
  • Making of beds and changing the bed linen
  • Household laundry and ironing
  • Emptying bins and disposing of waste
  • Monitoring the cleaning supplies and ordering more as needed
The position is available to commence as soon as possible and the family are looking for someone who will be with them long term. The family are kind and considerate employers.
